When Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft, came to New Zealand, Make All Media was chosen to work alongside his trip, providing specialist video and audio services.
First we had to design and animate a series of conference graphics to introduce Satya and other speakers during the day. These animated graphics had to be designed to brand guidelines, while also having some flare and excellence to enforce the themes of the day.
Next we had to provide several video options for the day, including a x2 camera mix of the event itself. This had to be edited onsite and recorded for later editing purposes.
We also had to provide a 'highlights' camera operator who could travel with Satya and record the key moments of his trip around Auckland.
Next we had to record, via audio, every speech he made. This audio had to be bounced down on site, compressed to MP3 and uploaded to the cloud within an hour of his speech. To do this we recorded the audio on a separate audio mixer and our technician engineer then took the audio as a separate file and uploaded it for the client.
Then we provided editing services post-event to produce a highlights video of Satya's visit, with animated graphics and live video spliced together with a great backing track.
The event was a success and we look forward to having Satya back to New Zealand again.

"Bluesky is a telecommunication network provider, based in Samoa and American Samoa.
I have worked in conjunction with Joseph Lee and Make All Media Ltd on the UN SIDS conference in Apia, Samoa. This was a joint venture with many providers including the Samoan Government, the United Nations in New York, UNTV, Make All Media Pacific Ltd, TV1, 2, 3, and Bluesky Samoa.
As a Telco, Bluesky provided the main infrastructure including fibre, copper cabling, international connectivity, network switchers, PAPX phone system, IP TV encoders and the Vlan configurations.
We worked closely with Joseph and his team who were providing the video and audio skills necessary to produc tover 100 hours of video in 8 different translations. We had to provide best practise for running the video and audio down various cabling infrastructure and provide quality control for the UNTV stations to live stream the event worldwide.
In all our dealings I found Joseph and his team very professional, willing to problem solve and work collaboratively on any issues that arose. The consultation and service contract meant his team had to travel often and work with multiple contractors at one time, streamlining the process and communicating effectively so everyone was on the same page.
